1. Purpose
This Code sets out the standards we expect from all suppliers, freelancers, subcontractors, and production partners working with Klyr. Compliance with this Code is a condition of doing business with us.
2. Ethical Business Conduct
Suppliers must:
- Conduct business ethically, transparently and lawfully
- Comply with the UK Bribery Act 2010 and relevant anti-corruption laws.
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Never offer, request or accept bribes, kickbacks or improper payments
- Maintain accurate records for all transactions involving klyr
3. Labour & Human Rights
Suppliers must ensure:
- No forced, bonded or child labour
- No human trafficking or modern slavery
- Fair working conditions, including wages, hours and contracts
- Equal opportunity and no discrimination
- A workplace free from harassment, abuse or intimidation
We expect adherence to the UK Modern Slavery Act where applicable.
4. Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Suppliers must:
- Provide safe working conditions and follow industry H&S best practice
- Ensure equipment used on productions is safe, certified and fit for purpose
- Follow risk assessments and instructions issued by klyr or production leads
- Report any incidents or near-misses immediately
5. Environmental Responsibility
Suppliers are expected to:
- Minimise waste, emissions and resource use
- Prefer sustainable materials, low-impact equipment and efficient logistics
- Use energy-efficient kit and avoid diesel generators where feasible
- Support recognised sustainability frameworks (e.g., Albert, AdGreen)
6. Data Protection & Confidentiality
Suppliers must:
- Protect confidential information relating to Klyr or its clients
- Comply with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws
- Use secure systems when handling or transferring any sensitive information
7. Quality & Professional Conduct
Suppliers must:
- Deliver work to the agreed professional standards
- Ensure team members are qualified and competent
- Act professionally and respectfully when representing klyr
- Communicate promptly if issues arise that may impact delivery
8. Reporting Concerns
Suppliers should report concerns about misconduct, safety, or unethical behaviour to klyr leadership. Reports will be handled confidentially and without retaliation.
9. Consequences of Non-Compliance
klyr may:
- Request corrective action
- Suspend or terminate contracts
- Remove suppliers from our approved list
- Report serious breaches to authorities
10. Review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed.
