1. Our commitment

klyr Creative Limited trading as klyr (“we”, “us”) is a creative agency and production company. We are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. We act ethically and with integrity and expect the same standards from our suppliers and partners.

2. Scope, structure and supply chains

We operate in the UK and work with freelance crew, production partners, post-production studios, equipment hire houses, venues, and platform/technology providers. Our suppliers range from micro-businesses to larger organisations. This statement covers all Klyr operations and those acting on our behalf.

3. Policies and standards

  • Supplier Code of Conduct
Prohibits forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, child labour and unfair wages/conditions.
  • Right-to-work compliance
Verification for employees and reasonable checks for freelance crew via production partners.
  • Whistleblowing
Confidential reporting channel for concerns related to exploitation or unsafe practices.
  • Health & Safety
Safe working conditions on set and during travel, with clear escalation paths.

4. Risk assessment

We review risk by geography (non-UK shoots), category (e.g. casual labour, logistics, set construction), and engagement type (subcontracting/multi-tier supply). Higher-risk engagements trigger enhanced due diligence and senior approval.

5. Due diligence

  • Onboarding checks for new suppliers (company status, references, policy review where applicable).
  • Contractual clauses requiring compliance with modern slavery laws and allowing disengagement for breaches.
  • PO/booking conditions that require lawful pay, hours, and working conditions for all personnel.

6. Training & awareness

Production leads and operations staff receive periodic guidance on identifying indicators of exploitation (unusual control over documents, restricted movement, signs of coercion) and how to escalate concerns.

7. Reporting concerns

Concerns can be raised in confidence via concerns@weareklyr.com.

If there is immediate danger, we will contact the police. We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action with suppliers or partners.

8. Measuring effectiveness

  • Percentage of higher-risk suppliers reviewed with enhanced due diligence.
  • Completion of annual modern slavery refresher for production leads.
  • Number and resolution time of reported concerns.

9. Approval

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes klyr’s modern slavery statement for the financial year ending 2025.

Approved by: The Director of klyr
