This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines klyr’s current carbon footprint, our reduction targets, and the actions we are taking to achieve measurable emissions reductions across our operations and productions. It is aligned with the UK Government’s commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
2. Organisational Boundary
This plan covers all activities undertaken by klyr, including:
- Office operations
- Remote work and cloud services
- Travel for client projects, productions and meetings
- Production-related energy use and materials
- Supplier and subcontractor activities where reportable
3. Baseline Emissions Footprint
klyr is in the process of establishing a baseline year covering:
- Scope 1: Direct emissions (minimal or zero at present)
- Scope 2: Purchased electricity
- Scope 3: Business travel, cloud services, production activities and purchased goods
Our first full reporting baseline will be published in the next update cycle.
4. Current Emissions Position
Initial assessments indicate the majority of emissions result from:
- Travel associated with shoots and client work
- Cloud services and digital infrastructure
- Production-related equipment and materials
A full breakdown will be published once the baseline is finalised.
5. Carbon Reduction Targets
klyr commits to:
- Reduce scope 1 and 2 emissions by at least 25 percent by 2030
- Reduce scope 3 emissions in line with industry benchmarks and available measurement tools
- Support the UK’s net zero by 2050 target
- Update this plan annually with progress
6. Carbon Reduction Measures Implemented to Date
- Use of renewable-powered office environments where available
- Remote collaboration workflows to reduce travel
- Preference for energy-efficient equipment
- Digital-first production processes
- Low-waste, low-impact production practices
- Supplier screening for sustainability credentials
7. Future Carbon Reduction Measures (Planned)
- Full carbon baseline measurement using industry tools (Albert, AdGreen)
- Annual, published carbon reduction reporting
- Increased use of public transport and EVs
- Verified carbon offsetting for unavoidable emissions
- Expanded supplier requirements and sustainability scoring
- Adoption of low-impact production planning workflows

This plan is owned by klyr’s leadership and reviewed annually.
